ANCA participated in the Blue Economy and Finance Forum, which brought together key stakeholders to explore innovative financing solutions for sustainable, ocean-based development across the Indian Ocean region. The forum also marked the launch of a regional hub to support Indian Ocean Small Island Developing States (SIDS)—including Mauritius, Seychelles, Comoros, and Madagascar—in mobilising finance for nature-based solutions.
Representing FSD Africa and ANCA, Dorothy Maseke, Lead, Nature Finance & TNFD, contributed to discussions on advancing resilient blue economies through nature-positive investments. Her insights reinforced the importance of embedding natural capital considerations into financial systems to drive long-term, sustainable growth in vulnerable coastal ecosystems.
